I guess I am doing something wrong in installing the lastest version of flash

I uninstalled the previous version, and downloaded the new flash.   I got a confirmation message that it was installed correctly.

However, when I tried to use it, I got a message that the latest version is not installed.

Javascripts are enabled

What else do I need to do?

To better assist you with this issue we need to know:

What is your operating system? (Windows or Mac) (XP, Vista, 7, 8)

What browser do you use? (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari)

It was the Active X filter
