How can I get a correct font conversion from pdf to ms word doc or docx?

I keep getting illegible oddball characters in the conversion. It used to work correctly during a trial I did about a year ago.

Hi sidneys47132938,

Can you please tell us how those PDF files were converted? If they were converted by a third-party application, then they may not contain all the internal file information that's necessary to ensure a clean conversion. Hi sidneys47132938,

Can you please tell us how those PDF files were converted? You might want to try disabling OCR as described in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (O... | Adobe Community (though not optimal if the PDFs started out as scanned documents, because it's OCR that converts the image text to editable text).

Or, you can try converting via Acrobat. You can download a free trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

Please let us know how it goes.

Best,

Sara
