When trying to install elements 11 I'm asked to enter password in response to a window that says "setup wants to make changes. Enter your password". When I do that the window jiggles but does not proceed to install

When I try to install Elements 13 on my Mac, from a disc, I get a window that says "setup wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this" WhenI click OK the window jiggles but installation does not proceed.
