Install problem for Elements 14 on new MacBook

I just bought a brand new copy of PS Elements 14 for Mac. I keep getting the message, "Installer failed to initialize. Download support assistant..."  (which no longer exists) I read through all the troubleshooting, but its for Windows, not Mac.

Help, please!

Thanks for your response, John, but none of those are applicable. The software is on the MacBook. The initializer just wont finish opening before I get the error message. It is not CC, just a new standalone version of PS Elements 14. Below is the error. Adobe Support Advisor no longer exists. The laptop is fairly new, all software up to date, and no other programs running.
