Any time I choose to edit a photo in Photoshop from my Lightroom library,
the photo gets a big boost in contrast when it opens in PS and it stays like that if i hit save and go back to lightroom.
Here are a few screenshots:
THIS IS THE PHOTO IN LIGHTROOM, AND HOW IT SHOULD OPEN IN PS
THIS IS THE SAME PHOTO IN PHOTOSHOP, NOTICE THE GREAT BOOST IN CONTRAST

I had already done those checks but nothing worked.
Tried something else which solved my issue!
Here's what i did:
Turns out Camera Raw's defauts were making changes on the files as soon as they entered PS.
So i changed the Camera Profile in Lightroom to ADOBE STANDARD, and them proceeded to do the same in Camera raw and save as new defauts.

This typically caused by a monitor profile that is incompatible with LR as here:

Why are you are opening the raw file directly inside PS? You should use 'Edit in Photoshop' (CTRL+E), which will apply the LR Develop settings (including the LR selected Camera profile) and not the Camera Raw Default Develop settings.
