Dreamweaver and "CEPHtmlEngine Helper" using 100+ percent of CPU.

Have found a couple posts that relate to this subject, however, are all aimed at CC 2015 and the folders/files are different in CC 2017.  Did follow the steps from CEPHtmlEngine slows Computer (Mac) and solution. but hasnt made a blind bit of difference.  Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Dreamweaver, but again, no difference.

Is there a CC 2017 specific solution to fixing this issue as Dreamweaver is totally unusable at the moment and I kinda need to get cracking on building a website.

Cheers,

D

Hi Ben, thanks.  I did and tried it - though the solution relates to CC 2015 rather than CC 2017.  The files and folders are slightly different between the two, so was hoping there was a CC 2017 specific solution.

Hi Ben,

I'm running Sierra 10.12.3

The following folder doesnt exist, which the steps suggest to trash:

/Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver/CC 2015/configuration/CEP/extensions/

Instead I have:

/Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver/CC 2015/configuration/CEPExtensions/

This folder has two folders within it:

com.adobe.ccx.start and com.adobe.DesignLibraries.angular

I've tried trashing both and using the files from the DL224 zip.

I've tried trashing the files within com.adobe.DesignLibraries.angular and pasting the DL224.zip files in that folder.

Dreamweaver is not responsive running about 100.07% CPU.  One of the CEPHtmlEngine is not responsive.

Cheers,

D

I've looked around for you, but cannot fine a solution. This may be because I am on a Windows machine.

Maybe someone with a Mac will come along.
