I have a Nexus 6p, android 7.1.2.  When I plug my phone to the pc, to lightroom 2015.12 and import, select my phone as source, it scans for a bit then says No photos found.

I can go to windows explorer and browse to the nexus 6p device, dcim folder, and photos are under there.  This PC\Nexus 6P\Internal shared storage\DCIM\Camera

These photos have not been imported before, these are new photos

there is no xmp file in that This PC\Nexus 6P\Internal shared storage\DCIM\Camera folder

i have tried setting phone to ptp and mtp with no change

I solved my issue

In my camera, under the DCIM/camera/ folder was a sub folder called camera_session

Under that it had a folder called google.com  there was nothing in it

I deleted camera_session folder

lightroom now sees all the photos in the dcim/camera folder properly and it imports fine

Hi dataforge,

Where are you importing these files to? Are you selecting "Copy" or "Move"?

Does the solution marked in this thread lightroom import from iphone 6 no longer helps with the problem you're facing?

Thanks,

Akash

My local hard drive.  I can't select Move, it is grayed out.

The link you gave is not relevant, I do not get a dialoge that my computer had not been granted access
