Muse FTP uploads entire site even if a change was made in a couple of sub-pages?

I tired to look for this solution in Forums, but couldn't find it.

When I change a content in the sub-pages (tweak position of text, or change text) and try to upload those pages via Muse's FTP onto my website the entire site uploads. I have "upload changes only" marked for FTP options. Even if I make a minor change FTP uploads the entire site, which is dozens of pages and hundreds of images. It would be nice not to export the entire site if I only changed some text or an image. Is there a solution?

Hey yuliahart,

By your issue description, I assume that it takes equal time for you in uploading the files doesn't matter if either "all files" or "modified files only" is selected, correct?

Let me know if you see the same behavior while uploading the files to Business catalyst?

Thanks,

Ankush

Ankush,

I am not using BC because I want to upload directly into my Public directory on my website. BC is taking forever to upload, it's been an hour and the upload is only 63% complete.   It took about 25-30 min to FTP my site to my website host. But every time I make a change to a page it starts uploading the entire site again. It takes 10-15 minutes. I don't understand why this problem exist and why can't Muse do what Dreamweaver does with FTP- take whatever has been modified and upload only that. There is no need to re-generate all the images and all the pages. Also, is there a way to see those FTP files? Dreamweaver has a window where both the server side and local side can be seen with all the dates and sizes for files. Is there such an option in Muse? To be honest, Muse has been the most frustrating experience I've ever had with any program. I am very thankful to the Muse community for all the tips!

Thanks for the info.

Would you mind sharing your .muse file with us so that we can investigate and try fixing it.

For sharing the file you can follow the steps explained here - https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-8652 and send the link to me in a private message.

For doing a private message hover the mouse on my picture and click "message".

In your case please don't bother to rip off the site, just sent it as it is.

Regards,

Ankush

Has there been an explanation for this yet? All my muse projects suffer from the same issue, i.e. insists on uploading the entire site even if there is only a minor change to one page.

Adobe, do you realise (or care) about the amount of non-productive downtime we suffer as result of this practice? I concur re Muse being a frustrating experience, it feels like it has been rushed to market way too soon.
