trouble downloading CS6 on OS X El Capitan

Trying to download a purchased CS6 suite onto a new Mac, one with OS X El Capitan. Am I not going to be able to do this? When I try to open the .dmg file, it said "Image Not Recognized," and then I realized that the file had 0 bytes. Trouble!

CS6 is 3+ years old... it has not and will not be tested or updated to work on your operating system
