Freeze when using commenting tools

Recently, I think since the last update, Adobe Acrobat DC freezes when on extended use of the commenting tools. Sometimes, after a long while (10 minutes) the document comes back, but often it does not at all.

The same thing happens on both my desktop and my laptop. Both are using windows 10 and both are (automatically) on the very last update.

It is very very irritating as I have to save every few minutes not to lose work.
