Acrobat Pro DC Preflight Tool - Variable Profile Does Not Work When Imported on Other Machines

Hello!

I created a preflight profile to generate bleed using variables for the bleed in inches and the resolution in ppi. It works great on my machine, but when I share it with a colleague it reports back unsuccessful and does not adjust the file. The reports don't really show any glaring differences, only that the fixup was not successful. Does anyone know why this profile would only work on the machine that it was created on? We are running the same Acrobat Pro DC via Creative Cloud on MacOS Sierra.

Thanks!

Hi APPM,

As per the issue description mentioned above, preflight variable profile doesn't work when imported on another machine, is that correct?

Would it be possible to share the preflight profile to replicate the issue at our end? You may upload the file to the cloud using the steps given in this link: How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud and share it via private message: How Do I Send Private Message

Also, let us know dot version of Acrobat installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Let us know if you need any help.

Hi Shivam,

Thanks for your efforts! I just sent everything over in a private message. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it.

Thanks,

Hi APPM,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Could you try resetting preferences for Acrobat using the steps given in this link: How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.  reboot the machine after resetting preferences and try again.

If that doesn't work, try replicating the issue in a new user account by clicking Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups  ( Mac), Login into that account, launch Acrobat from there and check.

Hi Shivam,

Would you recommend that we reset the preferences on the machine that created the profile, the one that is importing the profile, or both?

Thanks!
